A swollen or wet hose is replaced, not wrapped. First: both isolators. Then measure. Many Italian basins are M10 × 3/8 — not all.
A shower hose is a different part: it does not fix a wall mixer. Soft plasterboard or a flood: a plumber now, not a tutorial.
PTFE only on the male thread at refitting. Never on gas.
