Behind a wardrobe on a cold wall, air does not mix. The surface sits closer to dew point. Mould there is common and not “dirt to wipe and forget”.
It often reduces the dead corner. If whole-home RH is high or there is a thermal bridge, it is not enough on its own.

When: After you understand the cause, while RH is being lowered or vapour extracted. Small surfaces, household use.
